My Question Is I Have Been On My Period For

My question is i have been on my period for 11 days now. Friday i started to bleed so bad and started to passed bleed clots. Today alone i have to change my pad every 30 to 45 min and passed i would say 20 clots from nickel size to the size of the plum of my hand today alone. I have started to become sore and hurt a little bit. I was wondering if this is normal or should i go get checked out at the local e. r.??
