My Question Is My Right Eye Became Very Irritated On

My question is my right eye became very irritated on Wednesday morning....I generally wear contacts....it became bad enough that I removed my contact....my eye has remained somewhat irritated but has become better, however I noticed last night that my vision has become clouded in that eye now....what could be causing this
