My Question Is Regarding Labour Pain. When A Pregnant Women

My question is regarding labour pain. When a pregnant women gets into true labor pain .when she goes to hospital the support staff generally injects glucose in her body. Does the glucose helps in increasing labor pain or not???. Becoz Many times I saw women goes to the hospital with labor. But when they give glucose to the women labor get relaxed. Is it true or a myth.???
