Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My rib cage on the right side is not even with the left side. It sticks out a whole l inch further at the sternum and seems to be curved more so into my side and around my back. I recently had pneumonia which caused a sharp pain on my right side due to all the coughing. The doctor told me the pain was from the lung and would go away. After getting rid of the pneumonia the pain still persists, worsening with movement. Could the orientation of my ribcage be related to the pain? Could I have fractured or bruised a rib?
