My Right Ear Has Been Hurting During The Night, Waking

My right ear has been hurting during the night, waking me up. Usually I've been lying on my right side. In the beginning the pain went away quickly but since a couple of nights ago the pain did not go away completely until after I got up in the morning. Today, it's now 2:20 pm and the discomfort is still there. He pain is not as bad as a regular ear ache, but still uncomfortable with a feeling of fullness. I've been using Astelin for the last 3 days with no results. I have no sneezing, but do have a barely scratchy throat.
