My Roommate Recently In Jack Did Math And I’m Noticing

My roommate recently in Jack did math and I’m noticing a smaller than a golf ball size soft to the touch with no streaking or abnormal heat I’m assuming it’s just a little bit of a Dema what is the best protocol to prevent this from turning into an abscessed I’ve been told he first cold later or vice versa and of course monitor it closely. I noticed he injected at a Nother location there’s a little redness around that site about a half dollar but no streaking or increased temperature. What is the protocol
