My sister, Betty, is 77 and within the last year has experienced a bout with C-Dif. She has been in and out of the hospital and rehab with UTI infections and has been diagnosed and is being treated for dementia. I am not sure of the medication she is on at the moment but she is experiencing bizarre behavior. She is angry, refuses to wear clothing, tears the house apart looking for something but her husband is not sure what. She threatened to kill her daughter with a hammer and ran her away from the house. Her husband is in his 80s and they live out of state so I do not see this first hand but he said she is not eating and he is not even sure what medication she is taking as she fights this too and if she takes it, is not taking it when she should. She only has one kidney and is getting recurring UTI infections and on and off antibiotics. We think she needs complete geriatric assessment but we are not sure if that is available where they live in West Virginia. I am frightened for her and her family and not sure what to tell her children to do. Can you advise? Thank you, Janie
