My Sister Died This Morning She Had A Heart Pump.

My sister died this morning she had a heart pump. Her son said the alarm went off a lite beeping, he heard her say "low flow" then another alarm sounded, when he got to her she was unconscious. What exactly does "low flow" mean and would she have died right away? If she had been in a hospital could she have been saved?
