My Sister Had An Angiogram Via The Artery In Her

My sister had an angiogram via the artery in her groin on Nov 25, 2014. Recovery from the procedure and IV location has been without incident. However, this evening while taking a shower, she noticed a hard lump about the size of a nickel. It feels like it may possibly have something protruding from it, as well. Is it possible that something from the IV broke off into her artery? Or does this sound like a potential blood clot?
