My Sister In Law Has A Degenerative Brain Disease Which

My sister in law has a degenerative brain disease which I have forgotten the name. Hoping you could help me locate it based on the symptoms. Her mother had it and died from it. Several siblings have it. The name of it is very long and medical so they call it by a few letters. Confusing I know.
Tremors starting in one side of the body and eventually moving to both sides,
Feet rolling inward creating instability and eventual need for wheel chair,
difficulty being understood (slurred speech)
Difficulty eating and swallowing
