My Sister-in-law Has Been Told She Has A "shadow With

My sister-in-law has been told she has a "shadow with strings" on her abdominal US. She is 61yo and has no medical issues, with exception of having 2 children. ALSO, the physician's have drawn off 4L of pleural fluid! She is undergoing a Laparoscopy /w bx as we speak. I'm an old GI Ns and am struggling, along with the MDs at identifying the possible Diffential Diagnosis. I want to be prepared so I can stay calm and ask the appropriate questions to support my sister-in-law and brother.
