My sister is on a regiment of Ertapenem every day a nurse comes and draws blood once a week and she gets this med through a pick line the pharm. called her and said her iron levels are sky high, could this med be the cause and she has well water which iron is in the water. she was on pill antibiotics for 2 months now on this liquid anti-biotic for 2 months, this all stems from a bone infection caused by a tooth. I told her to start drinking bottled water and the doctor has not gotten back to her, could the water make it go up cause her immune system is compromised?
