My Sister Is Taking Keppra An Anti Seizure Medication After

My sister is taking Keppra an anti seizure medication after having the gamma knife. Her face is swollen and she has severe muscle weakness and is tired. They kept telling up it was from the steroids that make her swell up. How do we know if it is an allergic reaction from Keppra or just a side effect from steroids?
