My Son (29 And Has Down Syndrome) Red Face, Sore

My son (29 and has Down syndrome) red face, sore ,blood shot eyes. Our grandson had a similar complaint last week. Just wondering if its slap face or fifth diseases. He has a heart condition but stable. He says his fine. I'm treating his eyes with standard conjunctivitis drops.
