My Son, 35, Had A Violent Reaction To A Lidocaine

My son, 35, had a violent reaction to a lidocaine injection for the removal of a small cyst. His chest turned red, he was nauseated and passed out and had violent convulsions. I doubt that he told the md that he reacts to wasp and bee stings. Could there be a connection with the allergy and his reaction?
