My Son , 6 Years Old . In Last Parent-

My son , 6 years old . In last Parent- teacher meeting, teacher asked for eye check-up. When checked we found -3.75 cylindrical power with weak vision of 6/12. Doctor asked to wear glass full time and suggested for eye patchup and for eye treatment for polarised light . Is this heriditary or deficiency of food.
