My Son Fell Yesterday And His Bottom Tooth Went Through

My son fell yesterday and his bottom tooth went through his lip. He has 3 stitches inside and 1 on the outside as the tooth went through and through. Today, he is complaining of a lot of pain and his lip is very swollen, more than it was yesterday. He is on an antibiotic and I am giving him tylenol as often as I can. We did a few minutes of ice but no visible results. Is there anything else I can do and is that much swelling normal?
