My Son Got My Wife's Hair Wrapped Around His Throat.

My son got my wife's hair wrapped around his throat. We got him free, but his neck is all red and he has spots all over his face, and around his eyes are bruised, and his eyes seem bloodshot. I know this is normal for what happened, but is there anything we should watch for?
