My Son Had His Adenoids Removed 3 Days Ago And

My son had his adenoids removed 3 days ago and although he seems to be recovering at light speed with little compilation tonight after dinner he started complaining something feels stuck in his throat and eating bread and drinking water aren't helping. He also described it as slippery spit. He is 5 years old. Any thoughts?
