My Son Has An Issue. He Is 10, Weight 130,

My son has an issue. He is 10, weight 130, height 5 foot. When he was 2 he suffered a 5-6 foot fall while in a car seat. H landed on his forehead, just slightly left of center. The hospital only x-rayed his skull for fractures, but no other tests were done....because cognition tests were not able to be done at that age. He seemed to develop on schedule, until he started school. He began showing a lack of focus, but his mental capability scores were still above average. He was given an educational assistant in the 1st grade, then the school district said he was autistic and sent him to a class for autistic children. he was moved to a different school district for the 3rd grade (but I enrolled him in 2nd again to catch up on his missed education). after a year and a half at the 'special' school, he was transferred back to the 3rd grade in mainstream classes. He has been on Vyvanse 30mg, which we thought was helping, he was just moved up to 40mg and had a severe emotional outburst day. But his teachers have told me that he has been having small to moderate issues on the 30mg level. Vyvanse side effects of anxiety, anger, outbursts, loss of focus, distractibility, and loss of motivation have all been seen. He is not autistic after all. What should we do to address his needs? Is there a medication recommendation? Or is there a coaching program that we can focus on?
