My Son-in-law Is Experiencing Sudden Left Sided Chest Pain, He

My son-in-law is experiencing sudden left sided chest pain, he reports a squeezing sensation. No pain in the arm, but in the left hand. The chest area looks and feels swollen, it is firmer to the touch than the right side. He is a 34 year old smoker. I am advising ER, but he is reluctant to go.
