My Son Is 12 Years Old. At 10 He Was

My son is 12 years old. At 10 he was diagnosed with Little League Elbow. He stopped throwing for six months and resumed.

About this time one year ago, he was feeling pain in elbow again. An MRI revealed bone marrow edema. We were given no advice on it and told there's nothing to do and it should go away.

Now a year later, there are still painful
bout at times when throwing and even during other activities. When I give my son 200mg of Ibuprofen, the issue fades.

Is it normal for bone marrow edema to last this long and is there anything that can be done?

Most of the research has yielded little results for someone this young and info on the elbow is scarce as it seems to be more of a hip and knee issue...

Please help me.
