My Son Is 14 Years Old. He Was Laying On

My son is 14 years old. He was laying on the couch playing a video game when suddenly he says his vision became very blury. He got up presumedly to go to the kitchen. He then fainted or lost consciousness and fell injuring his head and his leg. He was murmuring shortly he was lieng on the floor when we ran in. He got up frightened and did not know or remember what happened. There is no history of epilepsy or random siezures in my family and he is very healthy otherwise to the best of our knowledge and this is the first and only time this has happened. He tells me that his heart was racing in class today and it worried him. His heart rate and pulse are normal now he is resting. Should I take him to the emergency room?
