My Son Is 18months He Had Grommets In Both Ears

My son is 18months he had grommets in both ears 5 & 1/2 weeks ago. Near 3 weeks ago his ears both started leaking fluid. It's a waxy yellow clear liquid with puss mixed into it as well. It hasn't eased up its as constant as when it started. Went to doctors just after it happened & they said no sign of infection when looking but puss means infection. Called Ent as he was on holidays for first 2 weeks & spoke to receptionist & she said its normal. I don't see the Ent until 7th August, so another 3 weeks. I just don't know what to do as I'm worried it may affect his ears. When he first got it he was sick but has been not sick last 2 weeks.
