My Son Is 20 Yo. And Has Been Having Rib

My son is 20 yo. and has been having rib pain on his right side, stating it hurts to breathe and recently is hurting to swallow. He drinks coffee, uses smokeless tobacco and is working a stressful job and attending college. He went to the chiropractor and had an adjustment thinking he had a rib out of place, which had also occurred while he was playing football in high school. His breathing feels better but he continues to have pain while swallowing. Wondering if he has an ulcer or hiatal hernia?
