My Son Is 25 Yrs Old. He Has Been A

My son is 25 yrs old. He has been a oppiet addict for 10 years. Starting shooting up Heroine about 5 years ago. He got sober and stayed clean for 18 mo, strted using again about 3 mo ago. Shooting up again has completely ruined everything he had built back up for himself. He has tested positive foe HEP c but a few days ago he quite abruptly started coughing up large amounts of blood. Not being sick with a cold or anything, but says his chest hurts and you can literally hear a gurgling sound from his lungs. Could the shooting up be causing this?
