My Son Is 5 And Has Very Large Stools. He

My son is 5 and has very large stools. He goes one time a day the size of a large cucumber. He is very small only 3'6 and 43 lbs. He is it a big eater. He has no pain and does strain when he goes. No blood or unusual smell or color. I'm just worried because it's so large! What is going on and should i take him to a doctor? I don't know if this has anything to do with it but he had two vessel cord syndrome when I was pregnant with him but no complications. Please advise
