My Son Is In Basketball And Where We Live We

My son is in basketball and where we live we do not have access to doctors here but have a clinic. He is a very active 16 year old who has played basketball since he was in preschool he is in 11th grade right now. They had there first games of the season and he played his first games the other week and had to stop since he had pain in his groin area. He has been seeing this person here in Naknek, Alaska and she diagnosed with all his muscles are tight and he might have a torn muscle in the area that he has pain. My question is about groin pain and how to heal it and if he was told about a possible tear in his musle that he might not be able to continue the sport he love. Any advise that I can offer my son will help with his situation.

Thanks,

Concerned Mom
