My Son Is On 40mg Of Folcalin XR For Clinical

My son is on 40mg of Folcalin XR for clinical diagnosed ADHD, he is 8 1/2 yrs old and weighs 70 lbs. I am starting to see an increase on defiance when it comes to completing academic tasks. I was wondering if the medicine could be causing this sudden defiance or is it just a student not wanting to complete his homework?
