My Son Is Seventeen His Dad Had Coates Eye Disease

My son is seventeen his dad had Coates eye disease he has now passed away but had this condition my son now showing signs of the same thing tell me I'm not over reacting he is the world to me
By the way I have no medical insurance please just help me with some advice thank you
