My Son Just Had A Colonoscopy,they Found He Has Numerous

My son just had a colonoscopy,they found he has numerous polyps,2 very large that are going to require surgery. My question is are they much more likely to be malignant because they are large. He had a colonoscopy 1 year ago and did not have them then. Please give me your opinion. Thanks Cal
