My Son Recently Had A Skin Graft (sp?). He Had

My son recently had a skin graft (sp?). He had an appointment today but the doctor was not in. Someone there gave him some cream to use. the question is should he cover the site or leave it uncovered. Previously a wound care nurse comes and helps change his bandages and she said to leave it uncovered. So cover it or uncover it?
