My Son Recently Had An Infected Wisdom Tooth Pulled. They

My son recently had an infected wisdom tooth pulled. They put him on antibiotics and said they would send the cells in for testing. i have not yet spoken to the Dr. but my 19 year old son was told he needs to go to a specialist (ear, nose and throat) because some cells came back questionable. They want to rule anything more serious out, but what is that this could mean?
