My Son Recently Had The Flu ........ He Went To

My son recently had the flu ........ He went to the Drs...... They took blood....... Both his red blood cells and his hemoglobin are low....... Then they took blood again and it went even lower......... Could this be from the flu or could there be something more serious? Thank you!!
