My Son Sprained His Ankle On Saturday It's Now Wednesday

My son sprained his ankle on Saturday it's now Wednesday and he has had a fever of between 102 back down to 98 then back up to 100 101 back down and I have been treating it with ad Ville. His foot is not swollen he is able to walk on it pretty well but I can't get rid of the fever it is warm around the area.does this fever have something to do possibly with a sprained ankle?
