My Son Tore His Acl And Miniscus About 6 Weeks

My son tore his acl and miniscus about 6 weeks ago which was discovered with an mri. He continued to wrestle on it and may have caused more damage at the state tournament this past weekend. Will his Dr. have to do another mri or will he just evaluate the knee for additional damage during the surgery?
