My Son Went To The Dr. Today And They Said

My son went to the Dr. Today and they said he has excess build up of wax. He is on ibuprofen and an antibiotic. He is now getting pink fluid almost looking like pale blood coming from his ear. The doctor says its wax melting. I have had wax problems but it has always been yellow/orange/Brown like not pink. Should I be worried?
