My Son Who Is 10 Has A Fever Of 101

My son who is 10 has a fever of 101 to 102. A stomach virus seems to be "going around". Several of his friends have had it. He is not going to school tomorrow. However, I feel that I should give him a fever reducer. He says he's fine, comfortable. I don't have a children's fever reducer in the house. Is it okay to give him one over the counter ibuprofen 200mcg, or is it better recommended to go out and get children's fever reducer. Please advise. Thank you.
