My Son, Who Is 22 Years Old Has Just Admitted

My son, who is 22 years old has just admitted to an opiate addiction. He has been buying suboxen sp? off the street for a few weeks. When he came clean with us, we took him to a nearby facility. They are very much pro-methodone and that is what he is taking. I have seen a huge difference in him, after only two days. Are the standards for both drugs the same? It is my understanding that there is far more follow up with methodone than with suboxen. Correct or incorrect? I have researched extensively and it appears that it is 50/50 as far as effectiveness. If you can clear anything up for me, please do.
