My Son's Eardrum Was Ruptured By Kicked From A Boy

My son's eardrum was ruptured by kicked from a boy during the swimming training. I wonder during the healing, what kind of sport he can do except avoid get water in side of his ear? What he should do and treatment that can help him to recover quickly, so he can go back to swimming training.
