My Special Needs Grand Daughter Had A Feeding Tube Installed

My special needs grand daughter had a feeding tube installed in her stomach. This was a temporary tube. Today she went to have it replaced with the permanent tube and the doctor said her stomach had fallen off. They reattached her stomach to the wall. What does this mean? How can her stomach become unattached?
