My Stitches Only Hurt If I Obviously Keep Touching Them,

My stitches only hurt if I obviously keep touching them, I'm two weeks after ankle surgery. But I notice my skin is red where each stitch is, only where the stitch enters the skin though? It's not warm though. Is this just my skin getting irritated with the stitches? Or an infection
