My Tailbone Has Been Hurting For 2 Days So I

My tailbone has been hurting for 2 days so I went today to get it checked out. X Ray came back completely normal so they gave me a pain shot that worked for most of the day but now hurts like crazy again and when I lay on my back it feels like I'm sitting on a golf ball! What's wrong?
