My Thirteen Year Old Is Complaining Of Throat Pressure, Tightness

My thirteen year old is complaining of throat pressure, tightness and pain that is constant. It started a few hours ago. What do you suggest? He was tested a throat culture and blood tests and all tests were negative. These tests were due to an ER visit due to a spider bite. He happened to have a virus according to the Dr. on 10/13/2015. Any suggestions. Any recommendations are appreciated. Thank you.
