My Three Year Old Son Has Four Different Spots In

My three year old son has four different spots in his hair that have crusty scabs. What could be causing it. I am familiar with head lice and know this is not the culprit. We were at someone's house on Saturday with an indoor cat. I noticed the first scab that night.
