My Three Year Old Wakes Up Screaming About An Hour

My three year old wakes up screaming about an hour or two after falling asleep. The screaming and flailing continues for 30min to 1 hour. He responds to our questions but seems confused (will scream no and yes several times in answer to a question). We are unable to console him. He screams for us to leave the room, and them screams for us to come back. Can it be night terrors?
