My Throat Is Extremely Sore And Painful. My Throat Started

My throat is extremely sore and painful. My throat started to hurt yesterday and it is a lot worse now. I went to the doctor yesterday and my strep test was negative. I've been taking pain killers, using salt water, cough drops, and throat spray. Nothing is helping so far. What should I do?
