My Throat Is Swollen On One Side All To The

My throat is swollen on one side all to the point that it touches my tonsils. It also has a spot on it that continually oozes yellow mucus. I have an appointment with specialist, not before January 5th. but have had this condition for 3 weeks also had 2 sinus infections and already went through 2 antibiotics. Lequin, and augmentin. The sinus infection is gone no other symptoms besides the throat.
