My Throat Will Spasm Where It Feels Like I Am

My throat will spasm where it feels like I am being strangled. It can last up to 30 mins and often I have swallowing and choking on food problems. It always begins with a ache in the thyroid area. I have many me symptoms but only 2 small lesions so am treating those with gabepentine. My Nero doesn't seem to want to discuss this but it can be very embarrassing at work or when out.
