My Toenails Stopped Growing Many Years Ago And Now My

My toenails stopped growing many years ago and now my fingernails have stopped, too. They are in a dreadful condition following the use of fake nails but I stopped using those 2 years ago. My nails were growing but they were very weak and flaked and broke easily and they are also quite mis-shapen, vertical ridges, spoon shaped and I have no half moons. I take vitamin tablets, drink loads of water and eat well, so I don't think it's down to diet, just abuse but I want to know if they will start to grow again. Thank you.
